With LTS/NIRAS, we are currently team leading a long-term evaluation contract of the FCDO-funded Improving Market Systems for Agriculture (IMSAR). IMSAR consists both a Market Systems Development component and the investment of patient capital via AgDevCo. In addition, we are providing support to the MSD component of the programme to strengthen the design and methodology of its impact assessments.
This years’ evaluation will focus on specific systems into which the programme is intervening and investing and is designed to generate evidence and insights that inform forward strategy. Covid-related travel restrictions bring additional challenges, to which we are responding with a particularly careful approach to the design and testing of data collection tools and support to enumerators in Rwanda.
