Evaluation of FinTech programme for the University of Cambridge

We are currently working with the ‘Catalyst Fund’ within the University of Cambridge’s Business School to evaluate their Inclusive Fintech Internship programme.

The aim of the programme is to place local students, for the duration of three to six months, in a portfolio of Fintech start-ups in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico, India, Uganda and Rwanda. The internship programme is seeking students wishing to pursue their career in Fintech.

We are designing and conducting a mid-term evaluation to assess progress to date and draw insights to inform forward strategy.  We are combining a results- and process-orientated approach; exploring the results that have been achieved (or not) and seeking to understand how this progress (or not) relates to the way in which the programme has been set-up and implemented.  We are conducting the evaluation in a way that enables the programme team to reflect, learn and provide insights for future activities.
